Dogs - They are smarter than you think

Ever wondered if your dog is smarter than you think? Well, researchers have discovered that dogs are actually more perceptive than most owners give them credit for.

According to research produced by Hungarian researchers, dogs are able to detect and sense different facial expressions of their owners, and they also detect the way their owners respond to them. Most people assume that dogs and pets in general simply respond to voice commands, but this is not entirely correct. According to the study conducted, dogs do not just wait for verbal instructions to know what their owners want them to do. They also pay attention to the emotions shown by their owners.

The researchers from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences assert that dogs are able to be as receptive to human communication and contact in a way that is close to that of the way a six month-old infant child. Dogs will rely on both the spoken word and body language to interpret what their owners are telling them.

It is easy to think that the body language doesn’t play a big role in the way that animals think and perceive things, but it actually does. Dogs and other pets have their own language, but they are also secret detectives who have the ability to perceive things that only humans can perceive. If you want to have a conversation with your pet, consider learning what their language is.

The study is an eye-opener to the language of dogs and pets in general. Dogs can perceive what you are thinking, even if you don’t say anything to them. Dogs are actually smarter than most people will give them credit for. They may be silent in their communication, but they can understand and listen more than most people might think.
